No, Butterbeer isn't sold bottled. They do sell pumpkin juice in a really neat bottle, though!

If you bring him/her back a pumpkin juice, and one of the collectible mugs the beer comes in, don't think they'll complain. Just avoid that overpriced yucky Hunnydukes candy....NEVER AGAIN!

PS: I'd also stick with the frozen butter beer, not the other kind.

The fruity chewy balls in the glass jars are delicious and a nice memento. Not a bad price either.

I didn't try those. I was all about the chocolate. And it was really my own fault. I got so excited about buying "hogwarts sweets" I just started picking up things I wanted without checking the prices. Granted I didn't buy much, just what you see here:

So when the guy who rang me up politely informed me that the total was $50.53 my jaw nearly hit the floor!:scared1: I honestly don't know why I didn't tell him "ummm....I need to put a few things back" instead I just smiled back through gritted teeth and payed up. :confused3

I'm not opposed to spending a lot on chocolates, usually I expect to get more for my money than this little lot. But if I DO spend quite a bit, it sure better be some of the best tasting chocolates I've ever had. These however, were some of the worst!
So it's clear the only thing people are paying for is that it's rapped up in a Harry Potter stamped slip of paper. And that ain't worth nearly $10 bucks a pop! The only reason I choked it all down, was because it DID cost that much and I sure wasn't gonna waste that kinda money.

So what were the fizzing whizbees like? At this point I think I will only be buying chocolate for the souvenir packaging (and not much at that) and will save my eating treats for other kinds of candy.

The Fizzing Whizbees were just plain chocolates pressed into the shape of bees. That's all. I thought when I bought them they would be some type of novelty candy like have fizzing cream inside, or a pop rocks sensation when you ate them, but nope. Really all the chocolate I tried tasted exactly the same, with the exception of the added mint to the peppermint toads. About the only way I can sum it up is to say if you've ever had some of that very cheap drug store chocolate they put out for Easter, those bland easter bunnies...yeah it was THAT bad. I guess for kids who don't really care or know the difference between good chocolate and the generic bad kind these would be fine. Except they're charging you on par with higher quality candy and not proving you with it.
So yeah, if you do buy some of it, I'd stick to buying the chocolate frog, which was still bad and over priced, but at least you'll get the box and a holographic card to keep.

Well that's a total let down lol. I would have been expecting something along the lines of a poprocks/fizzy filling too! Thanks!

i totally agree with you.
they tasted waxy to us.

they taste like the Palmer brand of chocolate that come out at Easter and Christmas time.

If you want something like that, get the Exploding Bonbons. They're white chocolate bonbons with dense citrus-y pop rock centers. I enjoyed them. They also come in a cool themed box :)

I wonder why they didn't bottle or can it. In the HP books the characters are seen drinking butterbeer from bottles and cans (Mostly cans) more often than seen getting some from the Three Broomsticks itself (As they only get select weekends for going to Hogsmeade). But still, it'd have been even closer to the books. And they might make more money.

Are those in Honeydukes? Or are they at Zonko's? I firgure they'd be at Zonko's but if it's candy it could be in Honeydukes.....

Honeydukes and Zonko's share the same space. H's is on one side of the registers, Z's on the other.

rowling had a major role in the creation of parry hotter and what goes into it.

she doesn't allow any soda to be sold in that back section.
the butterbeer is presented the way she wanted it to be.

for those with dietary issues and request the foam not be on their butterbeer, they are disappointed.
the butterbeer frozen can only be sold with the foam on top.
