Quick Question about Transportation

I'm going to Florida on mid summer, staying in Port Orleans Riverside in WDW, planning to rent a car for a couple of days for a visit to Universal St and IA, first time in Universal/IA.

My question, is, what time I have to leave my hotel to drive, park car, and be at park gate at least 30 min before park opens ?

Assuming a 9am park opening...you should leave your hotel around 7:15 to 7:30...that should be fine.

It'll probably take as long to drive from Port Orleans to the Universal parking toll(about 20-25 minutes) as it will take to go from the Universal parking toll and park and then walk to the parks front gate.So if you want to be at the gate at 8:30 am,leaving at 7:30 should be allright.
