quick question about transfers

if i use a transfer for "light" shirts or white shirts and i print an image that has a white border or background, when i transfer it will it become transparent like some of the images i have seen from some of the tshirts that have been done recently by the members? thanks!!

Yes, you are correct...

it will be white (or whatever the color of the shirt that shows through) however it will be glossy looking and be sure to reverse the image before printing
