quick question about the WOC picnic thing

Okay, so here's my question: if the picnic boxes are only $15 a piece and you get a ticket to WOC with it, I could feasibly order one for me, my dh and ds for our trip and then let my dh eat mine and his (I don't like any of the choices). Then I'd still have my ticket and only be out $15 right? That seems better than trying to get a FP first thing in the morning...

You could conceivably order 3 meals and hand them to a perfect stranger and just keep the tickets... the picnic meals are yours to do with as you please!

What about our two year old? Will she be able to get into WOC with us? It says the kids picnic boxes are for 3-9, but I'm wondering if she can get in w/o a ticket...

We had a 15 month old at Fantasmic -- no charge for her. and she had to sit on lap. but, if this is standing only....perhaps the two year old has to be on shoulders...:rotfl2:

They do not charge for under 3, so you will be fine. They don't have tickets into the park, so they can't use a FastPass machine. Therefore, the same principal applies to the Picnic Meal.

I think Disney deserves kudos for developing a mid-priced option. They haven't done this before and I think they will be amazed at it's success!

PS - I don't see why a less adventurous adult can't request the kid's choices. They are the same price, after all!

What I've decided to do, is order the picnic lunch before hand, then decide on the day of the WOC that I've booked if my back is in good enough shape to go. If it's not the greatest, then at least I've got a nice meal, and if they are still offering the cooler with the picnic package, then a nice souvineer from WOC. I find the picnic meals are more suited to my dietary needs than the sit down meals.

The disneyland website says the ordering won't begin until June 11th. Am I missing something. I clicked the link and it eventually led me back to the Disneyland website where you can't order yet. You can't order by phone.

oh yes silly me. *putting glasses on* i was right that you can't call and order, that has to be done online. :)

Does anyone know where on the Disneyland web site the picnic boxes will be available for purchase? Would it be under the Book tab or the Buy tab. Any idea's?

Nope. It starts Friday according to the blog and DLR website.

Just a "heads up" for everyone. There is murmur on the blog of the date changing to June 10th. This has not been confirmed, but I would suggest keeping a close eye on this if it is something of interest to you.

When you go to Disneyland.com there is a World of Color section to click on there. I would guess it will be in that section.
