Quick question about pin trading for my young kids....

I would like to get my kids some pin to start trading while we are on our trip in March. I have been looking at the pins on pinpics.com and on ebay.

I was going to get my 5 yr old DD some Cinderella or maybe Pirincess pins to trade and my 7 yr old DS some fish type pins. This got me to thinking... will it be possible to find these type of pins on the CMs? Will the princess pins be snatched up because they are more popular with little girls? Will the fishing type pins be few and far between because they aren't too interesting to many people to buy in the first place?


I want my kids to have fun and be excited about pin trading. I don't want it to be hard to find pins that they would like to trade for.

Any advice???

just give them different kind of pins for their lanyards and let them decide what they want from CM !! Especially the green kids lanyards will have plenty of pins they will like. When you start with their favourite characters on their lanyards they might want to keep them and not trade them at all ... so just let them loose and make sure to visit Scoops pin talk at Expo hall at 1 p.m. sunday - wednesday !!! Lots of fun for kids and parents !!!

That is what I was going to do.... I was going to give them about 10 pins that I can buy off of eBay that are just random pins. Then I was going to give them 2 or 3 in a certain theme area so that they can understand that they can collect a theme.

My daughter loves to please people so I'm afraid that if a CM comments on a pin she will end up trading it just to please them. I thought if she had a few of a theme already on her lanyard then the CM could see that she had a theme going.

I guess we will just go with the flow and see how things go.
