I hope this is just a quick question ;) as I am a little confused.

When you return within your FP window and show it to the first CM you encounter is that where the time is checked? On most attractions, that is the CM that lets you enter the FP line and then further along you actually give your FP to another CM. I am just making sure that it is the first CM that checks the time and not the second.

Thanks!

It is the first.:thumbsup2

Why would it matter? I thought they both checked the times, otherwise you could have people jumping over from the standby line into the FP line and just handing over expired FP.

I guess it might matter if you wound up in one of these reported long FP lines. If you enter just at the end of your window and the line is 40 minutes....

Well, you know if you planned properly, that wouldn't be a problem. If it is a problem, just don't take the FP.

;)

This. The time delta between the CMs would be important if enforcement is strict. I will say that in the three FP queues we entered over the weekend with long-looking lines, our wait between the two CMs was maybe 15-20 minutes at worst. This included RnRC, where the line started about halfway up the first ramp (on the outside); Peter Pan, where the line started outside beyond the leftmost FP kiosk; and Splash, where the line started before we ever entered the first building or went up any stairs. Long-looking, but fairly fast-moving.

In all cases for us this weekend, the first CM gave the FPs far more scrutiny than the second.

Tick....

Arriving just before the end of your fastpass window falls within the scope of proper planning, even though you should shoot to arrive near the beginning of said window.

It seems the second CM now does have to look at the FP.

All the other times we have used FP the second CM just took it and moved us along, now they have to make sure its not a late one from someone who didn't plan right and jumped the barrier.

You would think so, but not based on what I saw. I handed them six each time, told them "I have six" as I did so, and they may have glanced at the top one but they certainly didn't go through the bunch inspecting each one. The first CM pretty much did.

I do not think it's always true that the second CM checks the FP hour. Prime example: yesterday, I had a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari (the only FP I took for the day as I was just in the parks to take pictures). Well the first CM made sure of the time but the 2nd one just merely took my FP without looking at it. So, I don't think it always holds true. That being said, I wouldn't risk coming too late in case that does happen...

Allright....I should have known better. And, I won't be commenting on the proper planning comments! Good to know that as of right now the first CM checks the time. If anyone out there has been "kicked off" the FP line because you were out of your window by the time you got to the second CM, please let us know. Otherwise, I'm going with as long as you enter during your legitimate window with a legitimate FP then all is well. :thumbsup2

Maybe we can talk about pool hopping now.....

Where's the ka-boom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering ka-boom!

There are NO quick questions where FP is concerned.

I cannot envision ANY situation where it's right to deny entry after you've already been admitted to the FP line. If you get there one minute before your time expires and the initial CM see you are on time and lets you in, then you are in the line and you were on time. Two minutes later, you have not reached the merge point and your FP has now expired, but you are not late. You already "redeemed" your FP on time with the first CM.

This will obviously be happening a lot. All of us former late FP users will now jump the line with our expired FPs in an effort to continue to abuse the system (low-lifes that we are). :rolleyes1
