Quick question about CC linked to reservation.

Please move if this is not the correct forum. We are heading down next month for our vacation and we have multiple rooms as a group. I have two rooms, my daughter and son in law have a room and friends of ours have a room. I have had all 4 rooms linked so that it is easy to do Genie+, ILL and VQ's. I do have my credit card linked to my two reservations, but I want to make sure the other two rooms cannot charge to my credit card or to our rooms. I would hope they can't since the rooms are really 4 different reservations, but thought I better check before someone in another room runs up a bill.

No they can't use your credit card by accident or even on purpose. The reservations are all available because the guests are listed in your Friends and Family list. The only way to charge to your (2) rooms folio(s) would be if you go to the Front Desk and add them manually.

Now on Genie+ and ILL purchases. The person that uses their MDE Account to purchase these add-ons will see all the charges for the group if "you" select to schedule your group for the same Attraction times.

What we do is have multiple participants in the F&F purchase their own Genie+ and then one person can manage the regular LL scheduling times. For the purchase of ILL we often have (1) F&F MDE account purchase the ILLs to keep the times together since the ILL are a per person purchase.

Were the rooms booked separately & just linked as traveling together? You didn’t book all of them together with your credit card correct? If that’s the case & they were all booked individually by the occupants, your credit card only applies to your room & the other one you have it applied to. We travel frequently with our Son & DIL in their own room. We’re linked as friends & family & use LL & genie+. If we book LL all together, whoever is booking does get charged to that 1 credit card. Same with genie+. But food or merchandise purchases made with magic bands go to the individual rooms account.

I may be wrong but:
Rooms can't be linked - the friends and family members can be. Only way your CC can be charged is if it is on that room being charged to.
Your CC can be charged for things like ILL, G+ if you select that particular "linked" Friend / family member at purchase.

Thanks for the replies. Only my two rooms were booked with my card and the card was added to the check in of just my two rooms. The other two rooms are under their names and I assume whatever means they linked to pay for stuff.

I do plan to have each group buy their own Genie+, I will just manage getting the rides lined up.
