Just a quick question for you more experienced Florida visitors than I (which isn't hard being as we have never been:lmao:).

Bearing in mind that we are going in September - is it possible to do all of Busch Gardens in 1 full day or do I need to allocate 2 days to it. It looks like the park is open from 10am until 6pm during the weekdays and 9am until 7 on Saturday.

Is it worth going on Saturday to get the extra 2 hours and make sure that we get it done in a day?

Any advice will be welcomed....

Not sure that you'll get ALL of Busch Gardens done in a day as there's so much to see and do. We've not managed to get it all done in 2 days before now - but that was at peak holiday times. Busch Gardens is a varied mixture of rides, animal exhibits and shows and we thoroughly recommend going :thumbsup2

If you are getting a ticket that allows more than 1 day at no extra charge then I would do a 2nd day, If you are just buyng 1 day tix then I wouldn't spend on 2 days. Many people do it in the day no problems.
I guess they are open later at weekends as crowds are bigger so maybe you wouldn't get anymore done with the extra 2 hours. Might be better going midweek when quieter but shorter hours.
Best thing to do is do a day and see how you go, its only an hour each way, not too far.

We spent a day at BG last October and never got to see everything.

However I have only planned to visit again this October for 1 day, but do plan on been there as the park opens and not to leave until we are "chucked out".

Last year I think we got there for about 9.30 and had dinner reservations for Jiko at 7pm so left at about 5.45 ish.

This year we are staying at SSR so plan on getting a CS from Wolfgang Pucks once we get back so we have no need to rush off :thumbsup2

If your going to Seaworld as well, why not get the 2 park ticket $89, it allows unlimited access to both parks for upto 14 days and if you need it, you also get the free transportation to Busch Gardens.

We took the bus from Universal Studios - the problem we found that it picked up at other places and we only got to the park at about 11am by which times the wait times on the most popular attractions were mad - this was end August a couple of years ago. The last bus also left before the park closed so we didnt have enough time to do everything.

We loved BG, we went April 07 (Easter). We got there for opening, 9am and managed to get on all the rides, apart from the water ones before 1pm.
We also did the Serengeti tour, feeding the giraffes that was amazing.

We had lunch then spent the rest of the afternoon looking at the animals.
we then decided at around 6pm to go on "The wet rides" the park was pretty quiet by this time and the rides were walk on's.

I think when we went it closed at 7pm.

We had a great day & managed to fit everything in.
:thumbsup2

I went to BG the week after July 4th a couple of years ago - it was fairly busy but not as busy as MK. We managed to do everything we wanted to do but didn't bother with any shows. This included all the big coasters and the animals.

One thing to consider is that the coasters usually close if there's a lighting storm in the area (for obvious reasons) so you'll want to plan your day a bit to make sure you get them done before the rain starts.

Hope you have a great time :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your replies.

We have the 5 park Flexi-Ticket so we can go as many times as we want, and after reading some of your comments, I am going to schedule 2 days for this park but if we get it done in 1 day then that gets us a lazy day off later on in the holiday.

However, we do not intend to rush around trying to fit it all in during one visit so it is no problem for us to go for a second day.

I would take the 2 days and do it in my own time.
If I learned one thing from my last trip it would be not to rush things and try to cram too much in :thumbsup2

We've done both 1 day and 2 on different trips. It depends on what you want to see/do, what time you get there etc.

The crowds are definitely heavier on the weekends so as was posted before, you probably wouldn't gain anything by the extra hours.

We tend to to 2 days now, 1 day for meandering through and seeing the animals and the other day for the rides. We also sometimes do 2 days and just mix and match with animals and rides.

We generally go in Sept/Oct and the crowds aren't too bad at all.
