Quick question about 1:00 Boarding Group RoR

Quick Question. My husband and daughter are in the park right now. They were unsuccessful getting a boarding group at 7 AM. They both show on my Disney Experience app. Can I also try to register them at 1:00? I have much faster fingers, but I am in Dallas so have no idea if it would even let me do it. I made them practice the last few days, but I don't think they really grasped how fast the spots went. Any suggestions??

For the first 7 am slot you don’t need to be in the park to try. For the second 1pm slot you have to be in the park to try

I know it's too late now (hoping they got a BG!) but yes, you can try from Dallas to get them a BG if you are signed into their account and they have tapped into the park.
