Quick Q, Park Tickets Virgin Holidays

Whilst I have traveled with Virgin holidays many times, I have never booked Park tickets separate, I have stayed onsite and they were included, but my quick question is?

If you stay offsite and book WDW tickets, do they send these hard tickets to you directly with plane tickets, or is I a voucher to collect them on arrival.

I am thinking of the 14 21 day WDW Pass.

If you book Discovery cove with VH, again do you get tickets sent, or is it a 'will call' can you choose the time, and for 2009 do they confirm day/time now, as you cannot book on DC site as yet.

I can't be 100% certain but I'd be surprised if VH was the best deal for tickets.

We always book tickets with onlineflorida.co.uk. They are the real tickets and you get them a couple of days later. They are quite cheap and the are part of ABTA so we feel as safe as we can booking with them. We do the Disney and Universal tickets with them.

I don't think any of the travel companies offer holidays with admission to Disney already included any more. They used to a few year's ago before the World Pass and now the Premium and Ultimate tickets became available. As far as I know travel companies just offer you the facility of buying the tickets through them.

As you know you can get Premium and Ultimate tickets now. The latter for 14 or 21 days duration but the days do expire if you don't use them. A lot of people here buy the Magic Your Way tickets which have no expiry date.

I have never bought tickets through a travel company, I prefer to look for better deals on the net. Usually I use attractionticketsdirect and they do send you proper tickets out very quickly. It is immaterial whether you stay onsite or not the same tickets are available for everyone, though I believe you can get ticket admission added to your room key for the value of your ticket when staying at Disney.

Discovery Cove tickets are sent to you in the form of a voucher which you hand over when checking into DC on the day of your visit. Times are allocated when you check in at DC.

We use mercury travel for tickets and they always send the ticket H have just ordered and received the tickets for our up and coming holiday

When we stayed off-site a few years ago we were sent a voucher by Virgin. We then had to swap it into our Disney tickets at the ticket booth at which ever park we visited first.

Can't help with Discovery Cove, we book on-line with them direct to save the 10%!

We bought 21 day WDW park tickets through Virgin for our trip last year. We were sent a voucher which had to be exchanged at any Guest service but it wasn't any hassle and, most importantly, didn't hold us up getting through the turnstiles!

I'd agree that normally tickets bought as part of a package are more expensive but it's always worth looking into it because we were able to order the tickets for 2007 at 2005 prices plus got Flying Club 10% discount so in the end they worked out cheaper than anywhere else on the net.

With the good exchange rate, a toll free number to call direct from the UK and the hurricane/tropical storm provisions makes it quite tempting.

As for the park vouchers, when we stayed offsite, we were given the paper vouchers that we then exchanged at the parks. When we had them, they could be exchanged at Guest Relations of the four main parks ONLY. You cannot exchange them at the water parks, so make sure you cash in your voucher before you try and go to a water park!
