Hello all... waiting on new discounts to come out for our summer trip. I'm aware that Disney Visa Cardmembers might get the announcement first, and I've always contemplated getting a card but wouldn't use any of the other benefits really. My question is... if a discount is announced over the next few days, would Disney Visa contact me if I just sign up for the card today? Or, do you have to have the card in hand and mailed to you before they start sending you these types of announcements?
Thanks for any insight!

I haven't really gotten announcements for discounts mailed or emailed to me and I have had my card for 5+ years, they might have them in the newsletters that come out every so often. They do have a website anyone can check https://disneyrewards.com/offers/ and then you call in to get the offer. I hope that helps, I usually go with the FL resident offers because they are better so I don't know if I am missing anything.

I receive offers in the mail that are specific to Visa Rewards customers, I don't think the offers are for the general public so you don't need to worry about getting them first. However, I believe there are only so many rooms/deals available so once they are gone -that's it ...so in this sense you would need to act fairly quick on any offer. Like the previous poster mentioned ...any doubt refer to the website.

I get an email of special deals and the mailed newsletter (but usually by then the deal is open to everyone). Not sure what the turn around time is on them updating the system to include new members...but if you sign up and someone posts about the deal on here, you should still be able to get it by calling in.

Plus, it is a great card to have if you pay off your balances monthly...we use it for everything we can (if only the mortgage could be paid on it) and with the $49 a year annual fee one, we have earned more than $600 since last year's trip in Dec. That is $600 for the next trip already banked! The balance statement comes every quarter, that was the balance in Oct...after the holiday spending I can't even guess where it will be when I get the next notification (yes, I could go look, but I hate looking and spoiling the surprise).

I received an e-mail from Disney Visa just today. There is also a link to a special offers page when you sign into your account online.
