Quick, probably silly question about Gold/Platinum Receptions

Hi guys!

Just a quick question- I have been on one more Disney Cruise than my husband (when I was a teenager). When i hit Gold Status in a few years it will be one cruise before he does. Will he be able to come to the reception with me or will I have to go alone or wait for the next cruise for him to be able to join me? Just a random thought I was having while sitting here bored!!
