I was trying to see what building to request on our ressie for June for POFQ. Bldg 4 was recommended to me by other POFQ go-ers, and after looking at a detailed map, I agree because it is close to the bus stop and counter service. However, our original ressie is for a preferred water view. Bldg 4 does not appear to be near the river so this seems like we would not have a preferred water view staying there. I'd actually rather be close to the bus stop and counter service than have a water view. The price of the room would go down in favor of convienence if we switched from preferred to regular. SO do I call and modify our ressie to a regular room and request bld. 4 or 5???? Should I bank on getting bldg. 4 in June if I request it on my ressie now??? Would this be right???? Or do those of you seasoned POFQ vets say stay at preferred water view???? THANKS!!!!!

We have only stayed at POFQ once, and it was also our first time in a mod. (all stays have been in deluxes except for one trip to ASsp for a cheerleading competition). That being said, my opinion on a preferred water view is that in a mod. it would not be worth it to me. Your only window will be looking out onto the walkway where everyone walks to get to their room. There are no balconies, so how do you enjoy a water view? We found ourselves keeping the drapes shut since people look right in as they walk by.

We were in building 5, and I can say that POFQ is a compact resort compared to other mods we have seen. Easy walk from all buildings, but 4 and 5 seem most convenient.

It was a beautiful resort and we enjoyed our stay there. I say save your $ and save a water view for a resort that has a balcony to enjoy it. You can request to be in a certain building, but of course you know it is just a request. They won't say for sure that you will get it. Good luck! Have a great time! Eat a beignet for me!

We have stayed at the POFQ once and requested the water view. We were not facing the water, but could see it from the walkway. I think any room in those buildings near the water are considered water view. If had to do it again, would skip the water view and go closer to the main building. But, most things are close as this is a very manageable resort. We really loved it! Would not spend the extra $ for view or location.

Enjoy!

This resort is so manageable I wouldn't pay extra for a preferred location either. To me, building 1 was great too and looking at a map it looks like it'sfar from everything. To me, it wasn't.

We were in a corner room in Building 5 in October. We had A BEAUTIFUL water view of the river. Granted...we didn't really have time to truly enjoy it..but it was nice to see when you looked out. We didn't have to pay xtra. We were celebrating our 4 year anniversary and I mentioned that to the CM and she upgraded us for no charge.

So can you tell me if a corner room is better and why? I have seen it mentioned a couple times before

I just like corner rooms in general. I think the only difference is more windows.
