Quick ph + free dining question

Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a bit and tried to find this quickly but can't seem to find it. If by the grace of the Disney Gods, free dining is announced and I'm fully within the dates, and if I book 8 nights with 6 park hoppers, do I get dining credit for the 6 nights or the 8? TIA

You'll get FD for the length of stay at your resort. So eight days.

It goes by NIGHTS at the resort.

For an 8 night stay, each person would have: 8 table service, 8 quick service, 8 snacks, 1 resort mug if at a moderate or deluxe resort, OR 16 quick service, 8 snacks, 1 resort mug if at a value resort. Can pay the price difference between the plans to upgrade to the basic dining plan at the value resorts, can also upgrade to the deluxe plan from either of them by paying the price difference.

What you can't do is downgrade a plan and still get it free, so no free QS plan at a moderate resort for example.

Just adding onto this - you can't downgrade but you can use TS credits for QS meals and turn it into a QS plan, essentially.

No idea if this is cost effective with FD vs a room discount.
