quick NYE trip report with pics

We were able to get a last minute trip in for 12/30-1/1 and we stayed in site 1901. We spent all day at the MK on NYE so we didn't get much fort time in.

We ate at Trail's End and we thought it was great, but expensive. Also, I wonder if anyone else noticed but the overflow lot was JAMMED. I think people parked the rv's in the lot and went to the parks or something because I have never seen it so full.

I have been on I-4 a thousand times and never noticed this until now:

the free hats and noisemakers they handed out to every person in the MK, it was very loud

Fireworks- they were 360 degrees around you. They set them up on the railroad tracks (that's what a cm said). I know it was mentioned in TCD post, so yes, they did the normal wishes show and then more for NYE.

also for the 10, 9, 8, etc. countdown they had fireworks in the shapes of numbers 360 degrees around, pretty cool!

We saw a lot of cars in the overflow lot at Halloween and Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving day, it was the most packed I had ever seen the parking lot, the entire fields surrounding the parking lots had cars on them, it was crazy.

Very strange that there is so much in the overflow, just never noticed that many there before.

Maybe people just want to get an extra day in at the parks during the holiday times
