Quick, need clothes help!

I have a mandatory orientation meeting for the masters program tonight. They are having a dinner before, but I am not going to that. So, I am just going to the meeting that is being held in an auditorium. What would you wear??? I don't really have too much clothes. I have a nice pair of capris and a nice casual shirt, would that be ok? I have mostly just jeans and tshirt wardrobe, with maybe just a skirt that fits. should I go the skirt route?

PS, yes, I will eventually be buying more clothes, but $$ is tight right now.

I would probably go the skirt route if you could swing it. Is everyone from the dinner going to the auditorium? If they are and are in more dressy clothes you might feel more comfy. JMO

WHen I went to my Master's meeting, it wasn't anything formal. Many people there were wearing jeans and tshirts.

But, better be safe than sorry. Go with the business casual look
