Quick June trip... hopper or not?

Hello! I will be at Disney June 26-July 2 for Beta. We will have Tuesday and Wednesday in the parks and Saturday after noon will be free, too. Most of our group wants to get 2-day hoppers and go to all 4 parks Tuesday/Wednesday. I had considered getting a 3 day ticket and go to 1 park Tuesday, Wednesday, and walk to EPCOT Saturday after the convention meeting.

I appreciate any advice before we purchase today. We are experienced park goers but have never hopped... I am really looking forward to Pandora. I'm starting to think that hopping may be a good thing? FYI, it is $20 more for the 3 day as opposed to a 2 day hopper.

Thank you!

I get hoppers because we like to rope drop (and morning EMH) a park then when the crowds actually show up, we hop to another park. We'll even get our FPPs for the second park sometimes to maximize attractions. Often, we will even stroll through a third park in the evening to enjoy the lights/atmosphere at night.
During summer heat, we tour in early am then return to the resort and/or pool in the middle of the day. The evening is likely a different park.
So if you tour like I do, hoppers is the way to go.
Consider your touring preferences...

Consider:

Whether every person in your group will be up for the time and travel it takes to hop.

How soon you'll be back.

How devastated you'll be to miss that fourth park!

How many pre-booked FastPasses you want: 6 or 9?

I just came up against this exact dilemma. I went with the 3-day base. My kids all agreed on which to skip, plus I know that they don't usually have the stamina to hop. I'd prefer more hours in 3 parks over a lot fewer hours in each of the 4. We also go often, though, so skipping one park this trip won't be a big deal.

Good luck!

If most of the group wants to do the 2-day hoppers, I would do that. Personally, I would add on that extra day to go to EP on that last afternoon ( I love EP!), but you can always add that day when you are there if you decide you want to do this!

We will be purchasing convention tickets. Any idea how much it would be to add a day at the end to go to Epcot?

I'm worried that if we hop, we will end up battling crowds all around and just frustrated. I love the idea of going early, afternoon at the room, and evening at another park but I haven't been in the summer in years and I'm no thanks sure if it will be crazy crowds or not.

Thanks!

For me its the shorter trips that I prefer to park hop.
I go to HS and EPCOT on the same day during short trips and then MK for a full day. (I usually skip AK on short trips although I went last week when I only had 3 park days)
So probably what I'd recommend is one day HS/EPCOT, another day MK, and the afternoon half day AK so I'd get the park hopper.
If I had 4-5 days in the park I would get a base ticket.

I wanted to go to AK for the Tuesday (June 27th) and I have an 11:40 at BOG on Wednesday, so will go to MK. I think what worries me the most, is that how to arrange FP+ and all to maximize multiple parks in one day.
