Long story short, my daughter's HS English teacher lost her husband last month to a rare form of cancer. She and her 2 kids (7 & 4) have gone through a really tough time. I just found out she took the kids yesterday to Disney. They are staying at the Swan. I want to surprise them with something down there to really cheer them up. What can I do???? Please come up with something good!!! I'm not sure when they're coming home so I need to do it fastpixiedust:

Maybe call the hotel and see if you can get them to put together a gift basket to put in their room? I'd stay away from flowers -- they're probably sick of flowers after the funeral, and it might be a bad reminder. See what the hotel can help with. It might be fun to get some WDW clothing, candy, trading pins and a DVD or two in there. Good luck! :)

Hmm! What about paying for their dinner somewhere? Sending them a GC - can you maybe order something over the phone from a Disney Restaurant or hotel that they can use wherever they have planned to go? Disney Dollars?

How sweet of you to do something like this for them. :wizard:

How about contacting the Managment of the resort, explain the situation and seeing if they can arrange "a little magic"; golden fast pass, comp dinner, room upgrade, etc. remember it's the year of a million dreams!:thumbsup2

Try the Disney Florist. They have a dotcom sight, DisneyFlorist. They have lots of basket ideas.

Kudos to you for making some magic...

I like the idea summerlandjeff had about contacting Management at the hotel to see if they can "arrange a little magic".

That would be my recommendation as well. Or you can call the hotel and speak to the Room service department and have some kind of tasty treat left for them in their room.
