Help. DH is out of town. DS#1 won't be home until after 10:00, and DS#2 is at a sleepover.

This means I have the TV to myself. :teeth: So, I can rent a chick flick or even something rated higher than PG!! Any recommendations? I'm leaving in 45 minutes.

Has anyone seen Mona Lisa Smile?

TIA.

Yep, liked it, did not love it, thought they could have done more with the story. But I would recommend it for a goof off evening.

It's the kind of movie that I wouldn't want to own, but when it hits HBO I will probably spend a rainy Saturday afternoon watching it again.

Which one Faithinkarma, Gothica or Mona Lisa Smile?

Gothika, isn't that the one with Halle's Berries? If it is, I should probably wait for DH to watch that one. ;)

I wish I had HBO. Isn't Chris Rock's special on tonight?

Sorry, Mona Lisa Smile

oh, and one added bonus, it has a great soundtrack.

How about Under the Tuscan Sun? Not good for kids, so a good choice for a kidless evening.

I loved, loved, loved that movie. It does have some scenes that are not kid friendly, but nothing over the top. :)

Yeah, that's one of the movies I've let my older kids watch MOST of, and then sent them out of the room for certain parts. The director's commentary is good, too. (I was sick a couple of weeks ago so I actually had time to watch it!)

The scenery is gorgeous.

BTW, it's nothing like the book AT ALL.

Bridget Jones' Diary? Thought that was great. Or Something's Gotta Give.

LOVED Bridget Jones. Watched SGG last week. It was great!

We rented RADIO last night with Cuba Gooding Jr. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen. It was pretty good and boy was it a tearjerker!

I liked the movie, Somethings got to Give, but it was pretty boring. It is a nice way to relax and Jack is always fun to watch.

House of Sand and Fog was a good movie, but very sad...sort of dark.
How about Lost in Translation, I thought that was good.

I am watching Enchanted April, it was always a favorite of mine.

Hi Mackey Mouse. I bought the DVD of Lost in Translation. Finally got DH to watch it last week. I was surprised--he really liked it. Maybe he could relate--he travels a lot for work--but I do NOT send him carpet samples via Fed Ex. LOL. Well, I've been the girl sitting in the hotel room too, so I also could relate. LOL.

Anyway, I ended up getting Under the Tuscan Sun. I'll probably start it soon.

Thanks everyone.

So, what did you think of Under the Tuscan Sun?
