Quick help needed! WOC in a wheelchair??

I need some quick info please....my 9 year old daughter re-aggravated a soccer injury today at DL and she will be in a wheelchair tomorrow at CA. We have no experience wih this! Can we still try to see WOC? Can anyone fill me in on procedure to secure a place for the chair, myself, and her two sisters? Can you see anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!!

There is a wheelchair "section" for WOC unfortunetly that is all I know.

If you don't get the answer you want before tomorrow - Go to Guest services and they can help you out with more information.

I believe each section (blue and yellow) has a handicapped seating area. We've been in the blue area twice. It has several benches and a fairly large area or railing. Both times, my mom just sat in her ECV instead of on the benches. If it's not crowded, you may be able to sit on the benches with your DD. Otherwise, they'll ask you to stand behind the benches and leave them for those who truly need them. There's plenty of room to stand behind the benches. The CMs who are in charge are really nice! They'll let you leave and go to the bathroom if you need to. Just ask if you have any questions! And they'll help you out!

When we did it (not in a wheelchair, but my sister was in a boot and couldn't stand for the show), we got a FastPass in the morning, and when we got to the show, we asked them where the wheelchair section was and they told us where to go. There were (I believe) 4 benches in our section (behind a railing), and almost everyone who was in a wheelchair or ECV got out of their chairs and sat on the benches, so they didn't allow anyone who could stand to sit (I ended up sitting on the ground between my sister's feet and the feet of a very nice older gentleman - I don't think I was supposed to, but nobody stopped me).
If it's not crowded there may be enough room for you and the girls to sit with her, but if it is crowded, CMs will be very insistent that you stand (or at least they were very insistent when I was there).

I thought the view from our section (I believe we were in yellow) was pretty decent - and I was sitting on the ground.

As the PP said - ask if you have any questions, the CMs were very helpful.

I believe you ALL need to get a Fastpasses, and then I think there should be a separate waiting area for parties with wheelchairs/ECVs in your color section.

When I went several years ago, they allowed people those wheelchair/ECV parties in first and let them choose anywhere in their color section or the wheelchair section. (If that's the case and you choose to watch the show outside of the wheelchair section, of course you'd all be standing except for your daughter in the wheelchair.) That part of the policy may have changed; the Cast Members should be able to help.

Just make sure to get FPs, just in case. I hope your daughter feels better and you have a great time!
