I've tried to search but can't find the post or thread.
Sometime back I read a thread about something about needing an extra long hose for the septic/gray water or something. I can't find that thread to see why it needed to be long and to see HOW long it needed to be? We've never had a problem anywhere else with our hose we have but I want to make sure it's long enough before we head out on Friday morning! This is one thing on my list that I've neglected far too long... .to try to find that thread and find out if our hose is long enough!

Thanks if you can help!

A 20ft hose should be long enough for any campground but you never know. 20 ft has always been over kill for me at the Fort but then again my valves are in the middle. With the new longer pads you can pull farther back in the site and that may make a longer hose necessary. I just bought a new one at CW that is two 10 footers that you can use as a 10 footer or put them together for 20ft. I hope that helps.

Okay I think that's what I was remembering being said on another thread.
I think ours is only 10ft and we've never had an issue with it- BUT we're on a premium site and probably will want to pull further back... so 20ft should be fine or need longer?

PP is right, the thread talking about needing longer sewer hoses was in reference to Premiums. That's because those sites are now extra deep but they didn't move the sewer, and to use all your site you would want to back in all the way, which on my rig would put the sewer connection near the driver's door! My hose wasn't long enough, so I had to move the RV forward... loosing parking space in front for car and cart. I bought a hose extension. I have only ever stayed in one other CG where I wished I had a longer sewer hose, Southern Oaks in Ocala, where they placed the sewer connections 8' or so on the opposite side of the connections post, so you have to be on top of the post and have the dump valve aligned just right. I won't have THAT problem again!

Anyway, a 10'-15' hose should work fine for non-premium sites. Enjoy your MDGG!

I always carry a spare sewer hose just in case mine isn't long enough or, heaven forbid, it springs a leak. I also carry an extension for my shore line for elec. On my camper, my sewer valve is in the center and shore line is in the rear. I've only camped once where one would reach while the other didn't.

I'm not sure how the Premium loops are set up- but in 1600-1900- the sewer is towards the front of the site and the elec/cable is at the back of the site... this poses a problem for us since when we back in our drain is at the back of the camper and our plug at the front :lmao: so I bring a 25 ft hose with me just to be on the safe side. When I'm backing the camper up- I pull the cord out all the way to see exactly how far I need to go LOL

uh I think that's how they all are aren't they? atleast ours is that way too- so we're gonna have the same problem. LOL

Thanks guys!!!

This is the second time recently I've heard something about sewer near the front of the site in 16-1900, and I don't recall that being the case, at least not in 1800. In the sites we've stayed in on 1800 (higher numbered sites on the inside of the loop) the connections (all of them: sewer, water and electric) were on one post and that was about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way back on the driver's side of the pad. Conveniently, that is right where the connections are on my moho too, so I could have probably gotten by with 5' hoses! LOL Anyhow, thought I might add my 2¢.

In 2002 they moved the power only to the rear driver side of the sites in 1600-1900. W/S are still around the half-way point on driver side. We always carry spare hoses/coax & power cord just in case.
