Hi everyone! I just wanted to join in the fun and say that my fiance and I are planning our honeymoon at Disney! We got engaged during Wishes back in August of '08 and our June '10 wedding date is fast approaching. We won't be taking our honeymoon until holiday time, for a bunch of reasons including scheduling and financial reasons. Our wedding is pretty much planned through and through. We have our venues, my dress, our vendors etc. All I have left is to find a bridesmaid dress! Who knew that would be so difficult!

Anyway I'm excited to be a part of these boards. I am a frequent member of another Disney board, but after stumbling upon this site I thought it would be great to join in with all of you. :yay: Congratulations everyone!

Congratulations! My fiance and I are getting married on May 22, 2010 and then honeymooning at Disney from the 24th until June 1st! :) We are very excited, as I'm sure that you are as well! :)

Do you have any suggestions for romantic places to eat?

Happy Planning! :)

Megan

Congrats and welcome! You'll find a lot of great help on these boards, even if only for those last little details...

Thanks for the welcome ladies!!

Megan, there are a bunch of romantic restuarants! What we did during our last trip was to go to California Grille in the Contemporary during the Wishes fireworks. We had been planning going there for 8 months and it was well worth it! Actually, my fiance was going to propose there, but I guess along the way we were watching some wedding show where the groom proposed at the end of a trip and I said something along the lines of "well that's kind of stupid, why not propose at the beginning so you have something to celebrate the rest of the time you're away" hahaha apparently that stuck out in his mind and changed his plan since that reservation was for the last night of the trip. Anyway, the California Grille was WONDERFUL! Excelent food, it was quiet and fairly kid free, very nice. I think for this trip we're going to try out some other restaurants. I've heard great things about Artist's Point, Jiko and Narcoosee's. I think we're going to try and hit at least two of those on our trip!

Highly recommend Narcoossees. There were children there the night we went but we ate at the first seating time. Absolutely delicious! Actually told DH it was the best meal I have EVER eaten! After you eat, hop on the boat and visit all the hotels around the lagoon for a drink or just a walk around!
