My questions are actually pretty simple...

Am I correct in thinking that with the free dining promo my family of 6 and I get an allotted number of credits, and that within those credits we can eat anywhere the plan is accepted? Do we get to chose which plan we use (meaning if we want more TS credits, or QS or whatever?)

Or are there other rules/regulations because it's free?

You will be given a predetermined number of each type of credit based on resort level and number of nights. Beyond that, you can use them in any order you want wherever the plan is accepted. You cannot order more meals at one time than the number of people on the reservation, though. If you give species as to what type of plan you are referring to and for how many nights, I could give you better advice. :goodvibes

First of all, the free dining plan is absolutely no different from the paid dining plan.

There are three dining plans - quick service, regular and deluxe. Which one you get free is based on which resort you book. Book a value resort, you get quick service free. Book a moderate or deluxe resort, you get the regular plan free. You can upgrade your plan to a "higher" dining plan by paying the difference between the free plan and the higher plan.

The dining plans give you a set number of dining credits per person based on how many nights you are staying. If you're on the regular dining plan you get 1 TS credit, 1 CS credit, and 1 snack credit per person per night. You get all those credits in a lump sum when you check in, and you have until midnight after you have checked out to use them. Children age 3-9 get children's credits. These credits can then be redeemed at the restaurants for meals and/or snacks.

You can also upgrade. We are staying at Pop Century. That gives us free QS meals (that gives us 2 QS meals, 1 snack per day and the refillable mug)we have decided to upgrade to the basic dining plan (that gives us 1 table service, 1 QS, 1 snack per day and the refillable mug) and paying the difference it costing us $18 a day.

Okay, I have a couple more questions now, DP related. :lmao:

1. The DP is based on the number of nights you stay in the hotel, NOT the number of days you have for park tickets, right? So I could spend 10 days at the resort, but only go to the parks 2 of those days, but my DDP would have 10 TS credits...right?

2. I ask this because on the day we arrive, looking at flights, we will not likely get in until around 10pm. Obviously, we won't be using any DP credits on that day, so we'll have "extra" credits for our park days - right?

Specifically I am asking so that I know whether or not we can do Hoop Dee Doo with the "extra" TS credit we'll have from not using it on our day of travel.

1. Yes, if you are staying 10 nights. You said days again. For free dining, you need only a 2 day ticket.

2. Yes, you can use the credits on whichever days you want, up to midnight of your checkout day.

The number was arbitrary, but I understand your point. Speak in terms of NIGHTS not days. Thanks so much for the response and your time! Much appreciated!!!
