We (my wife, my son (5), my daughter (2), and myself) took a quick trip over to Disney for my birthday last weekend. We left Tampa on Saturday afternoon after my son's soccer game and arrived at the Contemporary at around 4pm. After we checked in we took about an hour to relax before taking the monorail to Epcot for dinner. We stopped to look at the kid's picture on the Leave a Legacy monument before walking through the Ice Station for a quick drink. Then it was off to Norway for the Maelstrom and dinner. We took the monorail back to the hotel after dinner at Akershush. Sunday am we got up early and went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. After breakfast we moved our bags to the car and then walked into the MK. The crowds were very small. The wait for Thunder Mountain was 10 minutes. This was also my son's first trip on Space Mountain - he loved it. Other highlights were lunch at Casey's, a dole whip in Adventure land, and the parade. We left at about 4pm and were home well in time for the Superbowl! Another great trip for us!
