(1) It sounds like I could reserve for lunch or dinner and it still count towards the Fantasmic seating as long as I am reserving on the Fantasmic Dinner Package page. Correct?
(2) If so, what do you think is a good reservation time if I'd like to eat there for dinner with enough time to get a good spot in the F! reserved seating area? I'd like to have a little cushion of time but not so much that we're wasting/losing time between dinner and the show.
(3) I love the idea of the Minnie & Friends at Hollywood and Vine. The dates on the description only go through early January, and we will be there late January. Do we know yet whether or not the character meal will continue past the January 7th date posted on Disney's website? It doesn't specifically say it's ending, just gives the dates when it's happening.
Thank you so much for your replies!

Can't help with the H&V question, but for MM, yes you can do dinner or lunch, and you MUST go through the F! Pkg page. When you go to make your reservation, it will tell you what times are available, and you can choose from them. It will not let you eat too close to F!. In fact, it will probably be earlier than you want. How late you might be able to make the reservation depends on what time F! is showing while you are there.

I've booked one of the last possible times - 4:55 (they stop letting you book the fantasmic package after 5pm)

This will still give us enough time to not rush and still get our seats

1. Correct. Though, at H&V they might have breakfast also (it was an option for the combined Pixar Fantasmic combo package, but that wouldn't be Minnie, it would be Disney Jr).

2. Generally, they won't let you have a package less than 3 hrs before showtime. Package times will always be early enough that you'll have time to do something between dinner and show. Most people prefer the latest available dinner, as that will be the closest to a regular dinner time.

3. Unlikely Minnie will be going away. The more likely scenario is that they haven't picked an end date for next themed Minnie dine (the theme changes with the seasons). When they do, they'll update the website. Just book the F! package at H&V, and you'll find out soon enough what the Minnie theme is.
