Are the candy cane kisses candy cane flavored? Do they taste as good as I imagine they look? I don't want to sacrifice taste for looks on the pretzel wreaths as they are one of our favorites.

They are soooo delish! Even my not-liking candy cane family liked them. Just buy a bag and try them before they're gone! You won't regret it.

Has anyone seen the mint M&M's this fall? We usually get those to make cookies but i haven't seen them anywhere.

I got some mint M&Ms yesterday at Walgreen's (chain drugstore in AZ). They also had holiday dark M&Ms--have you tried those? Wonderful, if you like dark chocolate! :thumbsup2

Also, the candy cane kisses are great! Real white chocolate, little crunchy bits, nice peppermint flavor. Haven't tried baking with them, only eaten them--yum! :goodvibes

I've had better luck finding special holiday types of candies (M&Ms, kisses) at places like Walgreens and Osco than at WalMart or grocery stores.

I will definitely pick up a bag next time I'm at Target :) Thanks. And I've seen the mint m&ms at Target, too!

:teeth: Close except my moms had peanut butter :D Not sure why but they make them *so* good.

Our Christmas gift from my mom was placed yesterday and should be delivered on the 18th. Wonder if that would be too late to make cookies

Is this what you are looking for?

No Bake Cookies

No Bake Cookies
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Stick butter
2 Cups Sugar
1/2 cup Cocoa
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Cup peanut butter
1 Tsp. Vanilla
3 Cups Oatmeal

Boil Milk, butter, sugar and cocoa, salt together for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter Vanilla and oatmeal. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper till set.

Easy chocoate and butterscotch candy

Spray pan with pam. Larger pan makes thinner candies. Melt one bag of butterscotch chips with a tablespoon of butter and spread over bottom of pan. Immediately press miniature marshmallows on the butterscotch layer. Melt I bag of chocolate chips with 1 Tablespoon butter and spread over. Cool and cut. I usually make it without the butter.

Just made the Marshmallow S'Mores & Oreo bark - will post pictures when they are finished "setting" and I can put them on a tray. Also I would have never believed that the easy PB fudge would work had I not tried it myself...unbelievable :dance3: And I already posted a picture of the pretzel wreaths I made a few days ago. Work is starting to hate me :rolleyes1 and they are all afraid by New Years they will look like this...

Okay. Has anyone tried the new cherry cordial Hershey Kisses??? These are fantastic. If you have had the caramel filled ones, they are like that but with a little bit of cherry and the coridial liquid. I have no idea where she got them, though. They are so new I can't even find them on their website. It probably helps that she lives in Hershey.

Ok.....I just got done baking and making a bunch of goodies today.
Made:
Peanut Butter Jolly's
Choc. covered pretzels, rods, marshmallows
Chex Mix
White Trash

I will take pics and try to post them later.

Question----for the choc. covered stuff---I bought Ghiradelli choc. in this big box. You just break of hunks and micro it. The problem we had was after dipping the item in the choc....it was hard to dip it in the sprinkles and stuff because the choc. was dripping and all. Any expert advice out there to make this easier??? This was the first time I attempted to make choc. covered anything! They're still good though.

Thanks!!!

I saw the cherry cordial kisses at Walgreens, as well. Didn't buy any, but since you've recommended them, I might go back and get a bag. :thumbsup2

They are wonderful!!! Last Christmas I stuffed DH's stocking with those. He was in heaven!!!

I saw all of the new Kisses at Target this morning. I bought the candy cane Kisses and they are yummy!

BUMP... I went on a shoping spree over the weekend to get all the things I needed to make my goodies.. WOW what a grocery bill... BUT I hope everyone loves their things... I am starting tonight.... YEAH :)

I made a few things last night....choc. pretzel rods which I covered with crushed Heath bars, then drizzled w/ red then white Wilton's candy melts, the choc. cherries posted here, which took a while but I hope they will be good!!

Then, I also dipped some peppermint sticks. Found them in Walmart holiday candy aisle. They are soft, not like candy canes. Dipped about 1/2 into some chocolate, and put some gingerbread men sprinkles on top. I'm going to use those as "stirrers" with a gift of hot chocolate. Though DD just grabbed one & started munching away..... :teeth:

Also dipped some Oreos. I put those in milk chocolate, dipped about halfway, then put mini M&M's for color. After it set a minute, I drizzled white chocolate on top.

Tonight I'm making filled oatmeal raisin cookies, and who knows what else.

DS7 made the chocolate pretzels with m&m's for his cubscout party tonight. We used bavarian pretzels and he put a dark chocolate kiss in the middle melted it in the oven for 3 minutes at 250 and then he stuck white chocolate pirate m&m's on the melted kiss and then put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes....YUMMY :goodvibes Thanks everyone!
He had to make something himself and the idea was inspired by this thread.
I can't wait to try the smore marshmellow someone posted here with a picture but I have to search for it later.

How early can you make the chocolate covered treats/ like popcorn, pretzels and cookies (even the chips)?? If you don't eat them will they be okay for Christmas or get mushy, etc.

Just wondering
