Quick/Counter Service Dining Plan Question

So, I have a question...

If the 4 of us go, and DD doesn't eat much - I know I have to pay for her to be on the plan...but, do we need to get her a meal everytime we decide we want to eat? My daughter eats like a bird, she'd easily be able to share with me and be full. Can that be done? It'd be like having 1 or 2 extra QS every day, but I'm sure we'd be able to use them up.

no, you do not have to actually use all the room's occupants counter service credits at the same time, as long as you're not trying to use MORE than the number of people, you can always use less.

Actually if your DD shares most meals with you, the two of you will have 4 counter service a day. Then you & she can use one at each of breakfast, lunch & dinner counter service...and whichever meal leaves you hungry you can get both meals at that one. Is she a Disney adult, or Disney child (under 10?) Cuz if she's a Disney child, you'll only be able to order the kids meals at counter services with kid choices...and that's probably not enough food for a child & adult to split, though.

Shes 4, so she'd be a child. It would be me, my husband and our 2 kids (both under 10). So basically we'd have 4 adult and 4 child Counter Service meals/day, right? My DS (6) eats A LOT, so I doubt we'd end up wasting any credits. Thanks for the info!

I was reading on Mousesavers that some CS places dont have kids meals. You can get an adult CS meal with a kids credit. They are:
Caseys Corner (MK)
Toy Story Pizza Planet (DHS)
Catalina Eddies (DHS)
Toluca Legs Turkey Company (DHS)
Sommerfest (EP)
Yorkshire County Fish Shop (EP)

Just a thought to get a bigger entree or combo to split with your child.

Toy Story Pizza Planet now offers a kids menu. It's a recent change, but now there is a child size pizza available there.

I know I will have the same problem with my 10 year old who is going to eat off of the adult menu. He will only probably want what his 4 year old brother eats. At least we will have three adults to pick at his left overs and of course his one year old sister too.:)

Another question... can you trade up CS credits for a TS? I had the regular dining plan last time and it was too many TS meals. Am thinking about the CS plan this time but would like to do at least one TS. Just wondering where you could trade 2 TS for a "signature" dining, can you trade 2 CS for a TS?

Can TS meals also be shared? My family of 5 is all adults by Disney standards so different meals isn't of issue; however, one son is very, VERY picky and I'm following WW so really don't want to go overboard. I would be happy to split meals with youngest and give him the desserts. Would it be possible to share TS meals? Is this tacky or cheap? I'm afraid it's just too much food and will be wasteful, even with free dining, lol.

From what I've read/heard you can only share a TS meal with a child under 3.

This is true at buffets and all you can eat fixed price meals.

Most a la carte restaurants permit splitting a meal.

WDW has never permitted trading CS credits for TS. At times they allow it the other way around (trading a TS for CS plus snacks or merchandise)
