DH and I live about 30 minutes away and went over to Epcot yesterday to celebrate his birthday. We had lunch at the Coral Reef and did the Behind the Seeds Tour at the Land.
DH had the mushroom soup, the BBQ salmon sandwich, and the chocolate wave. He practically licked the soup bowl clean (and he's not a huge mushroom fan). The sandwich, which I tasted was awesome - there was Pepper Jack cheese on it, so it was a little spicy with a little sweet from the BBQ sauce. It was open face, so it was a little hard to eat. The chocolate wave was delish but had a heavy booze taste in the center.
I had the chilled shrimp, lobster salad, and butterscotch creme brulee. The chilled shrimp were big and yummy. The cocktail sauce had a bit of pepper to it, making it almost like a bloody mary. It was served over seaweed salad, which I'm never a fan of. The lobster salad came with a pile o' the best lobster salad ever, two toasted baguettes, and a cup of cream of lobster soup (which was awesome). It doesn't look like a ton of food when it comes out, but it's plenty and it's REALLY good. There's big chunks of lobster in the salad and it's not too mayonaise-y. The soup is rich and creamy. The creme brulee was also great - nice crunchy top, smooth creamy inside.
The service was fantastic - we got our appetizers with our drinks (about 2-3 minutes after ordering) and we were in and out in less than an hour but weren't rushed.
Total for two with tip $96-ish dollars (no alcohol, just iced tea and a coke for drinks)
