I have a Reservation on My Disney Experience for myself, my wife, and two kids.

Last time I went to WDW I purchased PhotoPass + which was awesome and from what I can see Memory Maker is the new version of PhotoPass.

If I purchase the Memory Maker will that be linked to my whole family?

On the checkout screen there is a page about "Who will Use the Memory Maker" and there is a drop down box will all 4 family members.

If I pick myself (because I can only make 1 selection) will that Memory maker still be linked to all the people in my family or do I have to be present to have my band scanned inorder to have the pictures on my account?

OR

Can the photographer scans ANYONES band in my family and they will all be linked?

2b. Can the photographer scans ANYONES band in my family and they will all be linked?

1. As long as your entire family is on your Friends and Family list.

2a. Who will Use the Memory Maker just refers to who will be in charge of it. All is means is that only the person in charge can do the downloads. You do not need to be present.

2b. Yes.

Is it different if you get the 'free' Disney Photopass downloads with the Annual Pass? i'm a little confused because on the WDW webpage for buying an AP, it states "benefits do not extend to photos of Family & Friends". So if I'm in one part of the park and my daughters get their picture in another part, will it be available to me on my Photopass, even though I'm not there?

I can see (and download) the photos of everyone in my friends and family list (even if I've not been on that trip) with my AP photo pass benefits. I suppose it could change at any time but as it stands now what they say on the Disney website about it not extending to family and friends is not how it works in practice (shocking that the Disney website would be wrong, I know - emoticons don't work on my phone but I'd insert an eye roll smile here if I could).

That disclosure means that you, as the AP holder, are the one who is entitled to the free downloads. Pictures from Family & Friends do most definitely show up and can be downloaded. But they cannot be downloaded for free by the Family & Friends unless they have their own AP or buy Memory Maker.

So if you purchase this you can download all these pictures onto your home computer when you get home or do they expire and you need to purchase what you want by a certain deadline?

2. or do they expire and you need to purchase what you want by a certain deadline?

1. Yes.

2. Well, they do expire - you have 45 days from when they're taken to download them from the PhotoPass website. Once they expire though, they're gone.

So if I am the AP holder and all others in my party have pictures taken, they will show up on the MM but only I am allowed to download them - but once I do this I can forward the pictures to them and add them to my Shutterfly account so I can make photobooks with them?

What you do once you have downloaded any pics from Photopass is up to you, as long as it is within the terms of the photo release.

Is there a way to double check that my Memory Maker has properly been linked to my account?

Anyone who is linked to you MDE acct should be able to see the pictures. When I linked mine I used the confirmation # that was given to me and it said it was linked when I went to check on the memory maker it had my # there already

I think its on the My tickets/reservations page in MDE - all the way at the bottom. It should say Memory Maker and show you a confirmation code.

Once I download the pictures, I sometimes email a few to people who weren't on the trip (I know, there's something called Facebook for that but I missed that train) and, most importantly, I put them into my Shutterfly projects. No problem...

I have an annual pass. I linked a friend for my trip last month. When I downloaded the pictures, I also got pictures from her trip with her son last October. I emailed them to her.
