We leave at 0730 in the am! :thumbsup2  My exMIL has had surgry on both shoulder for rotator cuff and has some neck pain. She was told to stay off the jerky rides, obviously. I was wondering if any of you with the same problems have ridden the "thrillers" and how did you do afterwards. I hear that EE is smoother than other coasters, but is it smooth enough for her? She'd really like to ride b/c DS6 is with us. She's not wanting to do anything stupid to jepordize trip, but would like to do as much as she can. Thanks, y'all know you rock! :cool1:

Having suffered from multiple neck inguries I can say that there are a few rides that she probably shouldn't go on. I always take Advil in the morning before I go into the parks otherwise I end up with neck pain. Space Mountain is the biggest problem in my opinion, especially because you can't see where you're going and there are some sharp turns so I usually avoid that ride On that same note I didn't have any problems with RNR, probably because it's a lot smoother. While most of the rides are pretty calm compared to most theme parks they can be quite jerky, like BTMR or Splash Mtn, while the rest of the ride is calm the splashdown and stop can really jerk your neck.

I would say be very careful and read all the posted warnings before getting on any rides. While I haven't had any surgery's I understand the pain that can be caused when a neck injury occurs.

Goodluck and have fun :goodvibes

Test Track has it's moments where it is jerky so I would avoid that, Tower of Terror is also one I'd be concerned about...

Obviously she should be very careful with ANY ride. Even Snow White's Adventure and Pooh can be jerky, as well as the drop in Pirates, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, Space, Racetrack. You also have to be careful on Small World where you may get hit from behind by another boat in the queue.

In Epcot: Test Track, the last drop in Norway, getting bumped in Mexico and on the Land.

In MGM: Star Wars, TZTOT, RNRR

In AK: Dinosaur, Safari Vehicles, and the small coaster in Dinoland (name escapes me).

If she has to avoid jerky rides, add the following:

ANIMAL KINGDOM:
Kilimanjaro Safari (VERY bumpy and jerky!)
Primeval Whirl
possibly Kali River Rapids
Dinosaur

EPCOT:
Mission: Space
Test Track (remember those road bumps!)
possibly Maelstrom

MAGIC KINGDOM:
Big Thunder Mt.
Space Mt. (not so much jerky, but very quick twists)

MGM:
Tower of Terror (ouch!)
Star Tours
possibly Rock 'n Roller due to the launch and the upside down bits
