I always use my FL res. rates when I get a night or 2 at WDW.......but always only for us. Here's my question to those who are know more about the "rules". We are booked at AKL for 2 nights and now my husbands cousin and wife will be here and want to stay at AKL the same 2 nights w/ us. I was under the assumption I could book up to 3 rooms w/ my FL rates......so when I called to get them a room (under our same reservation # and credit card #) she asked if the other couple were FL residents. First thing out of my mouth---"yes", not even thinking. I mean--I figured I was paying.....just want to get the facts so I know if we are entitled to that rate for both rooms.
Thank you!!!

I'm not too sure why she asked, because from my understanding as the FL resident you can book 3 rooms. I suppose Disney figures everyone in those rooms will be FL residents. :confused3  Of course we know, that doesn't always happen. I think you should be okay, but I've never experienced this before as DH and I have never booked the rate since I learned about it AFTER our trip in 2001!

I'm sure someone else with better knowledge can help us out. Have fun planning!

I tried to book 3 rooms last month using the FL resident rate. They asked if everyone was FL residents and I told them no, only my sister is.
I was told that you must have at least one FL resident in each room. So if you and your husband are FL residents then book the rooms in each of your names, tell them you are doing wife swapping, then change the sleeping arrangements as you see fit.
I wound up booking the rooms at the AP rate which is the same as the FL resident rate. Most of us who live in CT have AP's, except my sister the FL resident. Go figure. Peggie

Hmmm, I booked two rooms for later in Oct at Pop Century. I told the CM my sister would be from AL. She said no problem. With two adults and four kids (one is 15) she said we would need connecting rooms. She didnt say anything about a FL resident had to be in each room.

Thanks guys......I booked it all under my name (i.e--ressie under one confirmation # and all held with my credit card, plus deposits on my credit card). But she wanted my dh's cousins name. If they give me a problem upon check in--I'll tell them one's under me--and ones's under my husband!!
