Can anyone give me an idea of how busy it will be when we go? I know it's never really quiet but as it's not school holidays for UK or France just wondered what it will be like for queues etc? We go Sun - Thurs but don't arrive until late Sun anyway....

Thanks.

Hiya,

I always go to DRLP low-season (ie term time, midweek).
I don't do queues :goodvibes . The big rides will have lines - but nothing excessive (and a lot of them have fastpass).

Fantasyland does get busy from late morning onwards, so if you have little kids it really is worth doing EMH if you can, as most of the rides in Fantasyland are open druing EMH. Dumbo in particular quickly builds up queues (but if you can't get on Dumbo, Flying Carpets in the Studios is a very similar ride, and usually is a walk-on). IASW is usually a walk-on in low season, as is POC.

I'd say, just going from past experience of early October in 15th anniversary year, if you see a queue line showing more than 20 minutes, just come back and try again some other time in your visit.

If you want to do the queued meet and greets in the park, you may have to wait a bit longer - we waited about 45 minutes for one of the Princesses, but only because we wanted a specific one (we could have met Cinderella within about 15 minutes).

I hope the queues aren't that high this year! I'm used to going early September where every ride was a walk on!!

To be honest, I'm expecting them to be a little longer when you and I go at the start of Halloween season (plus on another forum, I saw that the first Monday in October last year was a Spanish public holiday, and consequently the parks were very busy that day and the preceding weekend).

I think you may have to accept that the parks have grown in popularity since 2004, and this is still 15th anniversary year :) .

I'm not saying that every ride will have a 20-minute line - I'm just saying not everything will be a walk-on, and to be prepared for that.

Thanks for the replies - Elaine - I know you are right - some rides will have queues but hopefully not too long :)

A friend of my Mums has been out of season and she said that the rides in Fantasyland were quieter later in the afternoons? Maybe this is because people are getting ready for the parades at this time? I guess you don't need to go to the parade every day do you? Presuming it's the same every day?

Lord, I'm such a novice :rotfl:

No, you don't have to watch the parade every day - but you might find you want to  .
The Fantasyland rides are indeed generally quieter from 4pm - parade time - onwards.

I always seem to watch the parade every day lol. This time im limiting it to once or maybe twice.

I am also going to attempt to miss the parade one day out of our 3 - I'll let you know if I manage it :confused3 !
