Queue Jumpers

How bad is the queue jumping? When I last went about 14 years ago I remember it being quite bad and I've heard from a few people that it is still an issue even now?

Last year it was really bad for some reason.

This year it wasn't too bad.

Y'know when you are in a queue and someone pushes past and you seem to be the only one that minds? It wasn't like that this year, other people were pulling the queue jumpers as well!

The last few times I've been, I haven't really noticed a problem at all, but that may just be because we've been off-peak when the queues are minimal anyway. It tended to be the teenage kids that did this the most on the popular rides and as they're at school when we go, it's not a problem.
What is a problem is the scrums to meet the characters where there is no organised queue. Truly unbelievable behaviour!

There was one woman in particular really annoyed me this time! We were standing along the parade route waiting for fantillusion, and the two little ones were sitting on the kerb. They had to move to let someone in past them, and as soon as they got up, this lady pushed her son straight into their spot! So rude. She had been standing behind them and seen they only moved to let someone through, but still did it!

What made me really mad was the following day when the character express came up and eeyore got off. As usual the characters got swarmed. But there was a little disabled girl in a wheelchair, and eeyore came over and started interacting with her. For once all the people stood back and gave eeyore and the little girl space. Well low and behold didnt this same woman take this as her opportunity to push her son straight in at Eeyore and constantly kept asking for a photo! No once else was doing it - I couldnt believe she had the nerve! So selfish!

We returned last week. On the + side we didn't see any queue jumping at all but just have to reiterate what a pp has said about the characters and parades - horrendous - just like a scrum.

The meet and greet- places are the worse ones... I know there aren't queues for it, but people just push their children in without thinking about anyone else... That makes me quite angry...

Sounds like I should be more prepared for scrums than I should queue jumpers then!

Queue Jumping:
I was there this past Friday and only noticed one instance of queue jumping. While waiting in line at BTMR, probably 20 people hopped over our set of "guard rails" and walked up what I thought would have been the FastPass part of the queue. I thought I still made it on the ride before some of them so it must not have helped much.

Never saw a single instance other than that, and I was looking for it. Going on a weekday in September might have helped, but only two rides (besides Crush) did I see waits longer than 10 minutes posted (Peter Pan - 30 and Buzz - 40 since it was shut down for a few hours).

Maybe on a busier day it would have been different.

Character Rugby:
I thought it was because the Rugby World Cup started on Friday in Paris and everyone had Rugby fever, but I guess this is the norm from reading the previous posts. I'm a grown-up boy (27), but even I was afraid to get between those people and a character. Defintely a spectator sport for those of us without kids!

They really need to get proper handlers like at WDW. But will it stop me going? No way!

I couldnt agree more, Ive always insisted on my daughter having manners so I cant bring myself to behave in such a way (even though im severley tempted! haha) and my daughter gets quite upset at rude children and the stress of it all, thats why ive booked a character breakfast and a character lunch at the lucky nugget for our visit in October. She can get her character interaction then.

Im really surprised that DLP have done nothing to sort this out

I was thinking the same thing, it seems very un-Disney to me.
