Hi there,

We are thinking about planning a trip to Pop (first timers at this resort) this summer. I saw on another thread that you can catch a great view of the famous "Welcome to WDW" sign from the 4th floor of 80's building A.

-Anyone ever stayed in this building? Is the view of the sign close or do you need to zoom in or use binoculars to see it?
-Is the 80's building popular/hard to get?
-Is the 80's area relatively quiet?
-What do the inside of the 80's rooms look like?
-Is the A/C good overall here? I'm a little nervous about no ceiling fans.

Thanks!:goodvibes

We stayed in that area but on the ground level. We could still see the sign over the trees. It's not right up close, in your face so to speak. But it is a good view, especially from the higher levels.
We were in the building with the Rubic's cube on the ends....right at the end of the parking lot, and facing the lake off to the side. It was a great location..very quiet. I can't say what the inside of the rooms look like because I forget..they aren't all that memorable.
The a/c worked just fine for us. I did miss the ceiling fans but it wasn't a deal breaker for me.
Our building was on the other side of the computer pool...about a 5 mins walk to the buses...not a bad spot.
