OK - I've goten lots of great info on this site, just got a few more questions:
1) If we arrive at 10:00 AM is there a place to wait inside and when is the usual boarding time - I've see 12:00 noon and 11:30?

2)We're doing the Dolphin Encounter - we booked it ourselves - The Swim with one - if we're leaving the ferry dock at 1:30 when do we get back? I've asked Blue Lagoon two times via email with no response.

3)Any docs out there that can answer this one - it's says on the motion sickness pills box not to take them if you have prostate problems. Sometimes cold/flu drugs react adversely on me that way too. Anything else I can take?

4) We're going end of June - 4 day trip - really dind't have any problems 20 years ago when I cruised - should I worry about motion sickness?

5)I've seen tips to make your reservations as soon as you board, but the Navigators I've seen say they do not open until 1:00 PM. What's the scoop?

6) I have a 15 (almost 16) and a12 (almost 13) who looked at the activities and think some of them are kind of "lame" Is it really that much fun for teens?

7) My 15 year old and his friend (another family is traveling with us) are crazy about Texas Holdum Poker. Any problems with them setting up a game?

Thanks to all for a great site. I can't wait!

1. Disney have a beautiful terminal. Once you check in one person can stand in line and the others can wander. There is a model of the ship. A TV will also be playing. There is a small snack bar there. About an hour before the boarding there will be characters available for pictures.

3. Please check with your doctor. I saw mine and he provided me with the patch.

5. Yes most times reservation begin at 1PM give or take a few mins. If you are early, go for lucnch then one or more can make reservations for the various activities.

7. I saw some folks playing cards in the main lobby and also by the bar. I do not recall any rules that say you cannot.

1. We arrived at the port at 10:30. The DCL buses don't arrive until later so the line are not long. We checked in quickly and boarded at 11:50!! The terminal is very nice and Mickey and Minnie both came out for awhile and posed for picture in front of model ship.

Two years ago I had one in teen group and he loved all the activities and did not want to sleep at night/and slept in every a.m.

I had one older 12 year old in the club and he loved it and two 6 year olds in the younger club and they too loved their club.

We sail in 2 weeks and all are very much looking forward to all of the activities. I will have two in the teen club....so 2 sleepy boys in the a.m. that probably won't get up for breakfast for all the evening activites keep them having fun into the wee hours.

On our last cruise my DD13 and DS11 did not participate in many activities and loved it!

We're going on the Magic in April when they'll be 16 qnd 14...and they can't wait.

My kids really enjoyed the freedon of being on the cruise. My DS loved the movies and the availability of his favorite foods whenever he was hungry. My DD liked the more relaxed curfews.

The activities may seem less 'lame' if they hook up with some new friends on board. But tell them not to worry, kids (and adults!) seem to enjoy the cruise whether you do the activities or not!

Have fun!

Sue

I don't have a teen but on the last cruise we were at a table with two and one who was 12. They were having a blast! I think they were having a better time than anyone else. :bounce:
