Hey I was wondering if anyone has used the tram that will take you from the airport to your hotel? Does it usually go straight to your hotel or does it make other stops? If so would it be better to rent a car for a week? Also, we are staying at the CBR, and the bus that takes you to the different parks and down town disney, does it make additional stops or are there busses that go directly to the parks of your choice or do you have to go to the other parks before yoru park?

Not sure about any "tram" from the airport. I know you can get taxis, limos, towncars and vans. When you pre-order a limo or towncar just tell them that you want one with no other riders. Taxis, limos and Town-cars take you directly to your hotel. Vans can sometimes have more than one family and thus might stop at another hotel first. CBR has direct bus to MK, to MGM and to Epcot. AK bus also stops at Blizzard Beach when it is open; likewise Downtown Disney bus also stops at Typhioon Lagoon when it is open. Any of those buses can make multiple stops within CBR depending on where you catch it.

To add to Drusba's comments:

There is also a bus service from MCO to the Disney Resorts run by Mears Bus Company. These busses tend to go to several resorts dropping off as they go.

Some posters to these boards say it takes too long and that it isn't much cheaper than renting your own car. Others say the Mears bus is fine and they would never rent a car.

I don't drive on vacation and find the buses OK, except perhaps for getting from one Disney Hotel to another. I never rent a car, but many would.

If you want to go offsite, to Universal or Sea World say, Mears run shuttle buses to these parks also.

Whether or not to rent a car, depends on whether your goal is to eliminate having to drive, the time savings, or the cost factor. Personally, we always rent a car to enjoy the freedom and time saved. I spend a lot of time researching prices and almost always get a rental price equal to, or lower, than a private airport car service. There are lots of ways to save on car rentals. Take the time to check prices for all the sources of transportation from MCO to WDW and make your decision based on your needs/wants.
