We are wanting to try Tchoup Chop on our next visit. I was wondering what the best way of getting there from that parks is? Is it quicker to walk or is there transportation availible?

If you are at IOA there is a quick walking path from behind Margaritaville to Royal Pacific. You could also grab a boat from CW to RPR. They also have buses but the boat or walking is quick! Enjoy, Tchoup Chop, is a great experience and a wonderful meal.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from IOA to Royal Pacific. It is a very pretty walk.

Take a boat from HR to city walk. Then transfer to the CW to RP boat. THe RP boat dock is right in front of the restaurant.

Another vote for the walk, the water taxis take longer to wait for and the view is nice. I love Tchoup chop, great food setting, and service.

Of couse you can walk. You could even walk from portofino bay. That is definitly one of the advantages universal resorts have over disney. I hate getting on those buses.

You would have to walk from HR to city walk and then to RP. You could compromise. Take the boat to city walk then walk the rest of the way.

I too would recommend the walk unless you are dressed up and wearing heels or something.

IMO, it is not worth taking the boat from HRH and transferring at City walk. The walk is longer than from IOA, but it's great and refreshing in the evening!

Okay, so I walk faster than most, but the trip from IoA to the RP can be made in 7 minutes. It took 12 to go from inside the movie theater to our hotel room (but we were back in time for the O.C.). If you are not exhausted, I would definitely say that walking is faster than riding the boat since you have to wait to board, take the actual ride, unload, wait for the next boat, ride, and then unload again. Walking would be so much faster getting there. Going back, take your time and take the boat. That way you will get the best of both worlds.

If you don't want to walk there is also a bus that runs between the resorts.
