Hello everyone,

We will be returning to DL after an 8 year absence. We used to head straight for Matterhorn, Space Mountain and Indy at DL, as well as Radiator Springs Racers , and ToT at DCA.

Clearly a lot has changed since we last were there. We havent yet ridden Rise, the new Jungle Cruise at DL, Mission Break out, or Web Slingers at DCA.

What is the best plan of attack to ride our favorites and new rides at rope drop now that FPS , and early entry aren’t available. Do people still head straight for Fantasyland to ride Peter, Toad, Alice, and Dumbo At DL, and Radiator Springs , and Soaring at DCA?

Also, our favorite characters are Pooh, Oswalt, and Captain America.
Is there a good selection of t shirts , and backpacks featuring those three anyhwere on property?

Thanks for the help

Hello! I was at DL a couple weeks ago for the first time ever and feel like we had a mostly successful trip. We did 2 days in DL park and 1 in DCA.

For the DL days, day 1, the entire family went, just mom, dad and kid, we went to fantasy land and did 8 of the 10 rides in about an hour. We skipped Peter Pan and Alice as that would have added an additional hour and decided to go do other things.

The second DL day, I went by myself because the others weren’t interested in the Adventureland area rides. I started at Indy and from there did pirates, haunted Mansion, splash Mountain all before 10. Then headed for Star Wars land. I got stuck on Indy at the very end for 30 minutes. It was awful. I skipped jungle cruise because I thought it’d be easier later in the day, but it wasn’t.

I felt like those were great strategies for getting through a high number of rides quickly, but not sure best strategic time to add in Matterhorn and space mountain.

For DCA, we rope dropped Radiator Springs racers. We got lined up early so we’re among the front of the crowd going to the ride, but still took close to 20minutes to get on. We then did the other cars rides. If you’re wanting mission breakout though, I’d go there right after RSR. Don’t forget the shortcut path from Route 66 over into Avengers campus. RSR and MB will be the 2 rides with longest waits most of the day

For more info, I did write a full trip report that may be helpful if you’re going soon. Not sure when the Genie service starts at DL but that’ll change your rope drop strategies again.

When will you be going? We are currently here and the lines are so short.
Yes people still run for Peter Pan as that line hasn’t dropped below 20min. At DCA most people go to RS first. TSM and Guardians did get longer lines.
You can find Pooh stuff down by the Pooh ride. I saw Oswald by the DCA entrance and plenty of Captain America in Avengers Campus.

Rope drop DCA and head to RSR and/or MB. Then go to the other one after.

Disneyland is a different strategy depending on preferences. We prefer to go left and head to Adventure land first. Indy, Pirates, Jungle cruise then up to Thunder and then up into Galaxy’s Edge.

Some of your planning will depend on if/when you get your Rise boarding group. Galaxy’s Edge is at the back of the park so you dont want to walk more than you have to.

Thanks for the reply. We will be there the first week in September
