Questions regarding Partial Sites

I was online looking into making our reservations for June last night. We will be in a Popup but had planned to stay in a Premium Site. Our last trip to the Fort 7 years ago we stayed in the 1400 loop and liked being so close to the Trading Post and Pool. However, I noticed last night that we could save a little over $300.00 for the week if we stayed in a Partial Site so that is tempting. My only concern is how far away we will be from everything. It looks like 1500 and 1200 are the partial loops. 1500 it appears we will have to cross the road but it doesn't look like it is that far but 1200 looks like it might be a distance away. We will not have a golf cart and I don't want to have to take a bus everytime we want to go the pool, the movies, or the pool. We normally take the busses to the park. Also, we will only have grey water when I wash dishes or we wash our hands, so not having a sewer hook up is no big deal but what do you do with your grey water at the Fort if you don't have sewer.

I think loop 1200 is a Premium-Pet site.

The partial sites are in loop 1500 and 2000 if I'm reading the FAQ sticky correctly.

2000 is the loop we stay at, and I love that loop although we have a golf cart to get around. (I also use AAA and get a discount, so I feel a little better about the cart expense. :thumbsup2) If I wasn't going to have one though, and was going to walk, I would stay at 1500. We always cart through that loop and see people walking to the pool/movies all the time. It is not a far walk. Happy camping! :goodvibes

kakiegirl,

I wouldn't worry too much about which loop you get. I have a pop-up too and have stayed in 1500 and 2000 with it. It's true that 1500 is closer and more convenient but 2000 is not bad. If you are on the backside of 2000 you can walk through the corner of the adjacent Creekside Meadow Group campsite next door and take a short-cut into loop 900 which is directly across from the Meadow Trading Post/Pool/Campfire area. I wrote about that shortcut in my last trip report. See post #25 here:

It helps to be in the back of the loop in an outside site near the back Comfort Station (farthest from the loop entrance). Then it's easy to use it. Although I prefer 1500, now that I can use that short-cut it almost doesn't matter. If you were to follow the sidewalks then it's a long walk. With the short-cut it's no problem. If you end up assigned to the 2000 loop ask for an outside site in back and you'll be good to go.

PS - we dump gray water in the big oversized sink in the laundry room which is in the Comfort Station buildings in the middle between the Mens and Womens showers/bathrooms

You can dump your grey water either at the comfort station or if you are adjacent to a full hookup loop at an unoccupied site there. Keep in mind that if you request the 1500 loop you aren't guaranteed it; the 2000 loop is bigger, and 80-90% of the people who request a loop when making a partial reservation are going to request 1500.

Thanks for the advice. I think we are going to try the tent/popup sites, it would be nice to have $300.00 extra spending money at Disney. :)
