This will be our 1st time at CR. It will be me, my husband, and 2 babies (1-yr-old). I booked a garden/water view room. I'm not sure where (in the wings) these rooms are located -- should I request a certain spot? If we have a water view, does that mean we won't be able to see MK? Also, what are the "tricks" as far as transportation -- in other words, the most efficient ways to get places from CR. Thanks.

I'll try to answer a few of your questions. We have stayed in the CR in the north garden wing three times.

The best way to get to the MK is to walk. It is a nice 10 minute walk and puts you right at the gate.

For Epcot, I would take the monorail to the TTC and switch to an Epcot monorail.

For MGM and AK you need to take the bus. Be prepared. CR shares a bus with POLY and GF and they seem to come atleast once every half hour, sometimes more often.

Although I'm not sure of the names of the sections, we have stayed on the third floor twice. Once we overlooked the MK and could watch the castle change colors all night, and we could see the monorail go by our room. The negative side of this room was that it was close to the food court and when we went back for our PM nap, the trucks delivering stuff were very loud.

The second time on the third floor was nice. We overlooked the bay and could watch the sunrise. We could also see the EWP from our room. The negative was that it was a bit longer of a walk, but if you walk on the outside of the building, it wasn't bad at all!

The third time we stayed, we got a wonderful corner room over looking the bay on the first floor. It had a patio where we could sit in the morning and watch the fog on the bay and hear the train whistle. We could also see Wishes from our patio. Again, this was about the furthest away from the food court that you could get, but it was well worth it.

Sorry I'm not sure about the names, but I hope this helps alittle!

It helps a lot, thank you. I paid the 190/night to get the water view, so maybe I won't have a choice as far as staying on the MK side. I thought of another question. Do we get to our wing room from the outside or do we walk through the main building to get to the wing rooms? If anyone thinks of any other things a novice like me should know about CR, please do tell!
