Questions on upgrading to APs, Monthly Payment, B'day Card etc

We're socal residents and are planning on going to the park tomorrow. We have one day left on the southern CA summer fun passes. We'd like to update our tickets to the southern CA select APs. Tomorrow is also my husband's b'day.

Sooooooo

1. How/where do we get the birthday fun card thing for my husband?
2. Do we go into the park with our tickets and then upgrade to APs somewhere inside, or do we upgrade before entering?
3. Where do we upgrade? (I thought we were supposed to upgrade at the bank inside DL, but I just saw from mousesavers that it's closed??)
4. If we upgrade our $99 passes to the $144 AP, can we get the remaining balance we'll owe for the 4 APs put on the monthly payment plan?
5. Can we use the birthday fun card to pay for some of that remaining balance?

In order to get the birthday fun card, you will need to go to a ticket booth before entering. The ticket booth can also sell you an upgraded AP, and I think put you on the payment plan. Might as well do it all in one place if you can. Yes, you may use your birthday fun card to upgrade to the AP. You will, however, still need to go to the AP processing center to get your picture taken for your AP's. The ticket booth can tell you where the new AP processing center is. So, all your questions should be taken care of before you even get in the park! Have a great trip, and happy birthday to your DH.

The new AP processing center is at the Plaza Pavillian. Also, just so you know, your AP will be back dated to the first day you used the Summer Fun Pass.

Thank you both so much! We just got home a little while ago--had a fabulous time! Only had to wait about 3 minutes to get to the ticket booth window, then maybe 8 at the Plaza Pavilion. It was so nice to know what to expect. Thanks!

Did you get the interrogation when you upgraded your pass? Neither DH or I could remember the first date of use of his ticket (because it was back in June) and so it took about 10 minutes of questioning before they would believe it was really HIS ticket!

Yes, iheartdisney, they often ask specifics about your ticket. How long ago you used them, or the first park you entered is not uncommon. But, not everyone asks every time.
