Questions on annual passes for DVC memebers

Im sorry if these questions are ridiculous...just trying to get an idea of how they work.

We are currently waiting for ROFR (fingers crossed for 2 more weeks!!). IF they do allow us to get it, and we want to start using it at the beginning of the new year, when can we buy annual passes and how does it work?
Are annual passes good from Jan1-Dec 31 of that year or is it a year from day of purchase?
If you are a DVC member, how do you get the annual passes and how do you get a discount?
What IS the discount?
Is the AP for 1 park per day or can you get a hopper?

Here is answers to some of your questions.

AP's are good for 12 months from first use.

You can buy them via the member website.

They are hoppers just like regular AP's.

DVC sometimes has a AP or ticket deal with different rules.

GOOD LUCK!!! We too are waiting on ROFR.

You may very well be aware of this but an effective cost saving strategy is to
plan such that annual trips combine into one AP.


November 8 - Activate AP on first visit
November 15 - First visit ends

November 1 - Trip 3
November 7 - Trip 3 Ends

AP #1 ENDS

Return in November to begin cycle again.

By doing so you can buy AP only every other year but still get to WDW at least once (more if you can sneak another trip between
