I just got back from WDW about three hours ago. We arrived on Oct 4 around 9:30 am and left early this afternoon. We stayed at POR and did the MNSSHP. If you have questions, fire away. I might do a trip report soon.

Tinker Bell's Treasures re-opened Friday morning, we may have been they're first customers. The dresser with Tink's shadow is gone. They said there was a lot of special stuff coming in November.

MNSSHP, if you're going to be there while it's happening, go, it's worth it.

Toy Story Mania is a great ride. I rode it twice, love it.

If you have kids that are into Pixar, the Block Party Bash is a must. We had the monsters float stop right in front of us. Well worth seeing, I wish we had seen it sooner we would have gone back to see it again.

I could probably write for hours about the trip, so I'll quit here. Ask whatever you want and I will do my best to answer.

Ok, I'll start!!! what did you do at MNSSHP, how much candy did you get, did you do shows/characters or ride rides. What is the best thing about the party?

tks!!! And welcome home

We didn't mess with the candy because I didn't want to stand in line for something I can buy at the grocery store. I thought doing the rides would be a better use of our time. We rode quite a few rides with very little waiting. Thunder Mountain was walk on while Peter Pan was about a 15 minute wait. We didn't go see any of the characters as we saw all of them we wanted to see during the day. For us it was all about the rides, fireworks and parade.

The parade is REALLY good. I love the headless horseman riding through the streets. My 3 year old son is a big Peter Pan fan so he loved seeing the Peter Pan float in the parade. Also the Pirates of the Caribbean float was really good. Capt Barbosa shook my sons hand and he is still talking about it 5 days later.

Anything else?

You mentioned that Tinks Treasures re-opened but that the dresser was gone.....can you still wake up Tink? I've never done this before so I'm not sure where she is when you wake her up. I just know DD6 is totally excited about doing this and I hope that we can do it....

I don't know about that. When we went into the store I asked a guy in a tie with an earpiece (secret service style) about the dresser. He didn't offer up anything else for us to do in the store, just that some really cool things were coming in November. He seemed like a manager that knew what he was talking about. Wish I could give you a better answer than that.

How was POR? We'll be there in November!:goodvibes

Rooms are great, we were in Alligator Bayou building 16. The mousekeeping was really good, the food court is good but bus service is questionable. Most of the week the buses were fine but towards the end of the week we had some really long waits. Thursday night there must have been 300 people in line for the Port Orleans bus (from DHS). That's no exaggeration, it must have been close to 300. We waited about 20 minutes before a bus got there and we made it on.

If you like to make your own coffee I recommend bringing your own coffee AND filters.

We had some really good towel animals, I'll see if I can get a photo of one in here.

Hey there I also came in this pm on southwest into norfolk. I live in Suffolk.
I thought the beginning of the week was great but boy did it get busy after Wed!! We had a tough time w/ crowds @ AKL yesterday but I think I am spoiled from going at very slow times. Oh and I loved Toy story also!!

It's a small world after all, I probably saw you on the plane. We left MCO around 1:40 and came into Norfolk at 3:30. I agree, it felt really crowded later in the week. We attempted EMH at Epcot last night but it was nuts so we left during illuminations.

I saw Daisy there twice last week, both times in the morning. All of the characters were there until 12:30 I think. There was Daisy, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Pinocchio. The morning we met Daisy it was probably about 11:00.

We were @Epcot on Tues and it was a really good day so we got alot done early luckily. We were on the same shamu plane w/ 4 kids. Two were not mine (cousins). It's tough keeping up w/other people's kids but if we didn't take them they would never get to go to disney. It makes it special for my kids too. Anyway it is amazing what a small world it is!!!:)

Thanks for the update on POR. We can't wait to get there! We will have a rental car as well so that might be the best bet instead of waiting for the buses. Can you tell me what type of filter the coffee pot takes? Was it the basket style or the triangular one? Also is it a 4 cup machine?? We are big coffee drinkers and will definitely bring our own (Peets, yummy!) Thanks again for all your information. :goodvibes

:goodvibes We are looking for Daisy and Marie(unfortunately they want Marie bad and she is uncommon) First trip we never saw Daisy, so last time i made a point to go to Tusker house. However that day she did not show up:headache: so now we are hoping 3 times a charm....;)

But really wish they would make Marie more common as she appears to be pretty popular here.

We were there Oct 4th-12th and we did ask about waking up tink and was told that tink was not available at this time due to renovations. So no unless you get there after all the renovations are complete there is no waking up tink at the moment.

Awww BUMMER!!! I guess that's okay, just one more thing I don't HAVE to remember!:goodvibes Thanks for the info!

It's a 4 cup pot, basket type. I think our filters had a 3" base.

I think you had to be the first customer of the day anyway - so we didn't even try when we were there.
