Questions from Universal Newbie

Hi everyone! DH and I have decided to go for a quick weekend getaway kids-free for our anniversary to Universal. We have been to Disney several times. I have never been to US and Dh went once years ago. We are so excited! The trip is in 3 weeks. We will arrive on a Sat afternoon(plane lands around 1), check in at the Hard rock and then go to the parks. We will then use early entry the next morning. Here are the attractions we would like to do:

HP forbidden journey
Despicable Me
ET
MIB
Mummy
Shriek
Simpsons
Transformers
Spider-Man
Jurassic Park (single rider)
Popeyes barge ride

On the maybe if time list are Terminator, Disaster ( is this any good?), and Cat in the Hat.

Is this a doable list? What are the best rides to tackle on a Sat evening and during the early hour? We would also like to have time to poke around the HP and Simpson stores and have a Butterbeer and a Flaming Moe.

You will have plenty of time to do that list and more with unlimited Express. You will want to do Transformers and Despicable Me during early entry. Spend the evening in IOA and make sure you walk around HP during evening hours. It's absolutely beautiful at night.

Still no express pass available for Forbidden Journey, but I think you are good to go on the rest of your to do list! Have a great trip, Hard Rock is very convenient for the parks, try to fit in some pool time as well.

How long does it take to get to HP from the entrance of IOA?

Is there an app for wait times at Universal?

It takes about 10 minutes from HP to the main entrance...if that.

I don't know about wait times apps...I still have an old flip phone.

There's a good free app by phunware...I think it's called Universal Studios Wait Times...it's by Undercover Tourist. Hope it helps.
