Hi, we are wanting to go in November to WDW - our first trip. We aren't sure when yet, it partly is up to when we can get a flight using points. If we book now, can we still get a discount or promo if it comes up later? (Free dining would be sooooo awesome!) Do you have to cancel an existing booking and then re-book, or do they just give it to you?

Part of me wants to wait and see if any offers come up before booking a flight, but they I may lose out on options for flights. We are going for 2 weeks, either early November, or the week after Thanksgiving and first week of December. (What is the weather difference between the two...on the one hand, I want it warm enough to swim when we aren't at Disney, on the other hand I don't want it too hot for walking around. I don't think I'd like it higher than 25 C, (ie - 77 F) for the parks. Today it's 86 here at home and it feels so hot!) Anyways, what do you think of the dates?? Is there a clear "better" choice?

Oh, and in case it matters, we are thinking of staying on-site at POR for 4-5 nights, then renting a house.

Thanks for any input!!!!

Mel - sorry I can't help, but will second that emotion with similar questions.

The main one - should we book hotels/park tix now, and if a code comes up, will we be able to apply it "retroactively"?

A second one - what is the typical AAA discount on hotel rooms?

FWIW, we've booked our flights (down Nov 1, back Nov 11) as I figured that needed to be booked and, with gas prices, had the least chance of going down in price. I haven't booked rooms or park tix until I figure out the right combination of how to do so.

We want to stay in the Yacht Club for 10 nights. I'm prepared to give Disney enough money to buy a commuter car for the priviledge. But if we can save a bit too, well, why not. And even a small % savings, like 5%, could mean a few hundred dollars saved for me.

Thanks to whoever can answer our questions!
