I'm thinking about booking a DCL vacation for early May. I've been going over this board for the past several hours, but I still have a few questions.

1.) What's the difference between categories 11 and 12? They seem to be the same size, yet there's a difference in price. Is it location?

2.) Is AAA still offering deals with a $100 shipboard credit and free mugs?

3.) is the food more or less endless? What I mean is, can I walk up to a burger stand and order a veggie burger at 3:00 p.m. (for "free") even though I already ate lunch?

This is very spur of the moment and I'm a little overwhelmed. It seems like everyone gives really good advice here!! Thanks!!

I'm not sure if there is any difference between cat 11 and 12 besides location. I think 12's are on the bottom of the ship and 11's are up on higher floors. We have staying in cat 11 before and were happy with that.

The $100 credit from AAA is only for bookings in the month of January, but the soda mugs are a year long bonus. We just booked our trip yesterday so we could get the credit!

Food was available almost all day, so feel free to eat whenever you want. The resturants and food "stands" all close before 10pm if I remember correctly, but there is room service 24 hours a day!

Hope that helps!!

You are correct, the only difference between Cat 11 and Cat 12 is the location on the ship.

I am not sure about the AAA special, you would need to call your agent to be sure.

The food is pretty much endless. You can find food 24/7. Like MicksGirl said you may have to order it from room service late at night, but its free too. (Soda's are the only exception - they are only free at the sit-down meals at Tritons/Lumieres, Palos, Animator's Palate and Parrot Cay.)
