Questions for using AP and Visa discounts for dining

For our upcoming trip, one of our travel party has an AP. Can the entire party of 6 get the dining discount or just her? Does she have to personally pay then?

We have a Disney Visa card. Do we have to use it or just show it to get the discount?

I'm thinking of just charging all dining to our magic bands (which will be linked to our Disney Visa) to make everything easier. Then at the end of the trip we can divvy up the payments as needed.

The AP discount is good for the AP holder and three additional people. If you’re lucky, they might apply the discount to the whole check. The AP holder is required to pay, but they can charge it back to the room via magic band.

Also, I seem to recall Disney Visa having discounts for merchandise, rather than dining.

We had to use the credit card to get the discount.
