Questions for those just off the Dream

We're booked on the Sept. 4 Fantasy and I have a couple questions to those just off of the Dream.
First, how was the pool experience? Typically on sea days we like to hang out on deck by the pool while the kids swim and watch Funnel Vision with a plate of fries, pizza, a chicken wrap or 14 ice cream cones. When it gets too hot we'd just take a dip in the pool to cool off. I'd like to know if the waits were very long with the pools. Also is Nemo's Reef open? And lastly, knowing what you know now with the changes, precautions and some things simply eliminated would you do it all over again or cancel and rebook a future date? I'd greatly appreciate any replies as we have three families booked for the Fantasy coming up in three weeks and we're really on the fence about what to do. Although if we can't get a refund or reschedule we'll definitely be going regardless. Thanks

We only went to the pool area in the late afternoon and it was never a problem. There is a 13 person max in the pool but was never a problem. Nemo’s splash area is open. Pools are only open until 6 or 7. Line for aquaduck was a physical line and took about 10 min. Per our concierge host there are current 1200 people on board our sailing. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is concerige given any priority anywhere? Example getting off at Castaway?

I didnt spend time in the family pool area, but the adult pool areas were not crowded at all.

Thursday night I was seriously trying to figure out if I could convince DH to do a back to back. Needless to say, I would do it again! :thumbsup2

i leave in 2 weeks, but thinking of booking another 4 night in November. glad you said you’d book again. Hoping things get tweaked as time goes on.

How was the concierge lounge? Any concierge services that were scaled back?
The lounge was open offering small plates and drinks. The food was roped off behind the bar area, you just told the bar tender what you would like and they grabbed it for you. We watched fireworks from our balcony but they did have a reserved viewing area available. The hot tub on the sun deck was open and empty every time we went up there. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for this!! Was there any kind of a capacity limit inside the lounge? Is the happy "hour" still 5-10? Where was the reserved section for fireworks?

No capacity limits, never saw more than two other families in there. Happy hour is still 5-10. I’m not sure where the firework viewing was, because we didn’t go, but I did receive an alert to my phone saying to meet in the lounge and we would be escorted to your viewing area. The ship was pretty empty. Walking through mount the atrium we rarely saw anyone else. The most crowded activity we saw was bingo.

since you mentioned concierge - how did port arrival work for you? I’ve seen that concierge and platinum have to pick port arrival times like everyone else. And I’ve heard others say concierge does not. We are sailing in February but one of our parties is not in concierge so trying to understand our arrival vs theirs.

We checked in for our 9/13 cruise (concierge) and weren't required to pick at port arrival time. It said we could arrive at our convenience. The port arrival form has boarding group 1 listed.

Concierge does NOT need to pick a port arrival time but platinum does. We arrived at the parking garage when they opened at 12:45. I have two kids who needed to do the PCR testing, we were directed to wait in the parking lot until we received our results (45 min). Once that was completed we were onboard within 10 min.
