Did you stay in a room on a lower floor?

If you did, was the villa quiet from neighbor noise above you?

If you were on an upper floor, how are the elevators? I love the ones at the Yacht Club, quick moving and quick to open?

Hi! We were in a first floor studio until we checked out yesterday. We did not hear any noise above or alongside -- and we didn't even have a dedicated studio...it was a lockoff.

Just as a sidebar, there are no dedicated 1Bs or Studios at SSR. The configuration for each resort building is:

2 Grand Villas
20 Dedicated 2Bs (with 2 queen beds in second bedroom)
24 Lockoff 2Bs (each of which can be reserved as a studio and a 1B)

Sammie,
I stayed in a studio on the 3rd floor for 2 nights and a 1 BR on the 3rd floor for 1 night. One thing that I noticed was that both rooms were nice and quiet.

Interesting...I didn't know that!

I was happy that it was quiet all around...no noise from neighbors. That was a relief.

2nd Floor 2 BR. No noise noted anywhere (except for my 2 kids).

And the midnight fireworks at P.I..

A bit of a surprise there.......................

We were there for 5 days and the room was nice and quiet...well, with the exception of PI fireworks! We stayed on a first floor studio

Those pesky fireworks! Did you have all your windows and doors shut? There are conflicting reports....some people have said that there is no noise while others, like you, have reported some. DH is a light sleeper, and hearing fireworks every night at midnight would be enough to convince him never to stay at SSR.

we stayed on the first floor studio, very quite, unless you have your sliding door open, you can hear the music from dtd but it wasnt loud we could still hear the tv. im a light sleeper and i didnt even hear the fireworks, lol.

i really liked the first floor with your little patio instead of a balcony railing in your way when your sitting down, except i would have liked the sliding door open all night but you cant do that on the first floor.

We liked that too.

Although we were only there for two nights, we didn't hear the fireworks either night.

We spent 6 nights in a 2nd floor Studio. We knew we had neighbors in the 1BR (met them one day) but never heard a sound - either from them, or folks above/below us.

Nice and quiet.

is the first floor patio enclosed? Worried that my children will attempt to make a break out LOL.

No, they are open. There is landscaping there so it is separated from the grass outside the building. But there is no wall or fence, your kids can make a break.

2 nights I was out past midnight at the MH events. But the other 2 nights, I did not hear a thing and I was right across the water from the PI Sign.

Thanks for the Tip Mr Perfect.

Thanks for the info - looks like I will be calling MS to revise my room request - I know - they are only requests not guarantees - but I don't want to be chasing my kids around the resort. :Pinkbounc
