Questions for FW Experts-please help

I have a few questions, probably easy ones for many of you.

We will be renting a golf cart, just wondering if it is possible to drive it to the Wilderness Lodge in order to have lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe? If so, is there a place to park it?

What time does the campfire program with Chip and Dale start in the summer time, specifically in mid July?

Unfortunately, ya can NOT drive a cart to WL.
The Chip and Dale singalong starts at 7:30 in the summer.

You can drive your cart to the settlement marina and catch a boat to WL

There is also a bus to WL from Settlement and there is a walking/biking path to WL, but golf carts are not allowed on the path.

I am not sure the Wilderness Lodgers appreciate us Fort Folk restaurant hopping to their restaurant so if asked, you are staying at the Lodge, not the Fort. Also, DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT USE the Wilderness Lodge Pool!!

Wait, you mean that because we stay at the fort, we are no longer allowed to eat at other resorts? Thank makes no sense? Pool hopping, I understand, but it is looked down upon to eat at WL?

I am a little confused and upset about this. My family enjoys going to WL via boat to eat at Whispering Canyons or the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contempory. So it is looked down upon when we eat at the Contemporary or WL?

Not to worry, you will be fine, Disney will take your money anyplace you want to leave it. Resturant hopping is allowed.

If you listen the WL guests on the Boats or Bus they think their @#$% don't stink. and the people in the Fort are some kind of low life poor folks (trailer trash in there minds) They don't know that there are many RV's at the fort worth over $1,000,000.00 and that a site in the peak season is over a $100.00 per night. And a cabin is $300 +

When we hear this on the boat We usually start with--- look at all of those poor people that have to stay at that WL hotel. I'll bet they couldn't afford to bring their MILLION DOLLAR Motor homes to Disney. I Wonder who slept on those sheets last night or if they were changed today. That shuts them up quick.

Yes, I was fooling around...hence the . To give you a little background as to why is because us Ft. Wildernessers were painted with a very broad brush stroke as basically low lifes who could not afford to stay at the Wilderness Lodge so we should just stay away. This person heard from this person who heard from this person who heard from that person who heard from this other person who heard it from their great uncle that someone from the campground was using THEIR pool. Of course, this person no longer has those feelings after a very quick education from us Fort Wildenessers but we still like to bring it up every now and then.

Thanks so much for the info, I am really glad I asked. And all of the additional insight on FW and WL is greatly appreciated as well. I think our family will fit in just fine.
